Astronaut is a VC-backed startup building an AI assistant to help community
managers understand customer sentiment, suggest engagement strategies, and
surface insights. We raised a pre-seed round from top tier VCs at a strong
valuation.
As a founding engineer, you will work closely with our
founders—[AJ](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ayoolajohn/) and
[Chris](https://www.linkedin.com/in/cvolzer/)—and a team from Meta, IBM
Watson, and Coinbase.
**Who you are**
You are a full-stack engineer that can confidently develop across the stack
and wants to be involved at every step of the way. You should be comfortable
taking a feature from product spec to production with minimal oversight.
Familiarity with platforms like Discord, Slack and Telegram is a plus.
**What you will do**
You will be empowered to ship early and often. In the first month, you’ll
implement features in our NextJS web app and build APIs on our EC2 instances,
deploy updates to lambda functions, and deploy new infrastructure in AWS.
Your work will be responsible for processing millions of messages from more
than one million end-users. You’ll also provide feedback during design reviews
and on product specs.
