**Job Description:**
We are seeking a skilled and ambitious React Native Developer to join our
dynamic development team as a Founding Engineer. The ideal candidate will play
a critical role in developing and maintaining our mobile application for both
iOS and Android platforms using React Native. You will work closely with our
product, design, and backend teams to create a seamless and efficient user
experience. **This role offers significant equity and salary post-launch, with
the opportunity for substantial leadership as the company grows.**
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native and the Expo toolkit.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
* Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using TypeScript.
* Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
* Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications are current and competitive.
* Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
* Integrate third-party APIs and libraries as needed.
* Deploy applications to the App Store and Google Play Store, including managing app store approvals.
* Use EAS Update to deploy updates to apps over the air.
**Requirements:**
* Proven experience as a React Native Developer or similar role.
* Proficiency in JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks.
* Strong understanding of React Native architecture and best practices.
* Experience with the Expo toolkit for React Native.
* Experience building, running, maintaining, and iterating upon a production React Native application.
* Familiarity with managing a React Native app using Apple App Store Connect and the Google Play Store portal, including managing app store approvals.
* Experience building a React Native app from scratch.
* Experience with EAS Update for deploying updates to an app over the air.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience with TypeScript.
* Knowledge of GraphQL and Apollo Client.
* Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.
* Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
* Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or Detox.
