Fulcrum is actively seeking a pioneering Founding Product Engineer to join our
San Francisco, CA office. This role demands a full-time, in-person commitment
where you will collaborate closely with founders, enterprise customers, and a
top-tier technical team to revolutionize enterprise operations with our
groundbreaking GenAI products.
As a Founding Product Engineer, you'll take ownership of comprehensive
engineering projects across the stack, from concept through deployment,
focusing on integrating AI technologies with traditional SaaS applications.
Your role will be crucial in prototyping, developing, and delivering
innovative product features that meet the complex needs of our users.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Integrate traditional SaaS with AI Applications:** develop end-to-end features touching all parts of the stack to enable AI workflow and tasks.
* **Zero-to-one product development:** rapidly prototype, evaluate, and integrate new product features and custom projects for our customers.
* **Ship clean, well-documented and secure code:** implement security concepts to develop software dealing with sensitive data, work with the security teams choosing what to build vs buy.
* **Realize technical breakthroughs to enable novel AI-first workflows:** Envision, develop, and deploy scalable software applications utilizing AI and machine learning techniques.
**About You:**
* **Strong technical experience:** 3-4+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on AI, machine learning, or related areas. Proficiency in one or more of Python, Typescript, Node, React, Next.js or similar technologies
* **Exceptional problem solver:** You have an established strength in problem solving, with a structured and analytical thinking approach.
* **Product mindset:** You have a strong product mindset, can put yourselves in the shoes of a user and critically think through UX to ensure releases are well rounded.
* **Bias for action:** You strike the right balance in thinking through and executing fast, rather than getting stuck in analysis-paralysis.
* **Exceptional work ethic:** You take pride in working extremely hard, and pushing progress at peak velocity
* **Grit:** experience working at early-stage startups is a plus.
* **Excited to wear multiple hats:** you’re excited to iterate and work with customers, do product and release management all while shipping features fast.
**Bonus qualifications:**
* Have experience with AI platforms and technologies, including generative models and LLMs. Previous experience working in an early-stage startup or dynamic environment.
* Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

**Location(s):**

**Compensation Range:**
$140,000 - $200,000 + Equity
