For our first hire, we are looking for an ambitious and smart founding
engineer to join us. In terms of work experience, we are looking for people
with solid experience in shipping code and constant curiousity to learn.

**In the first 6 months, you will:**
* Build and iterate of new features with the founders and engineers, taking Figma and architecture designs, implementing them and measuring their impact on the metrics
* Design and build scalable software to allow for low-latency speech translation
* Design a full-stack test suite for each part of our product
* Integrate various external 3rd party speech processing providers
* Make architecture choices that will be the foundation to our product going forward
**In a year, you might:**
* Own core parts of the product and mentor other engineers
* Design and conduct technical interviews, start mentoring new engineers
* Begin to specialize in user facing parts of the app, or deep dive in infrastructure and core logic
* Working with research team to help build own speech processing models
**In 2 years, you could:**
* Be leading a team of engineers OR
* Be a lead engineer, expert, go-to, helping with technical onboarding
