**Overview** : DownPat is seeking a highly skilled Front-End React Engineer to
join our team on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will own our
mobile apps and web interface, driving the development and maintenance of our
user-facing surfaces. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned engineer
with expertise in React Native and some experience with React Web. You will
report directly to and collaborate closely with our CTO.
**Responsibilities:**
* Take ownership of the development of mobile applications (iOS and Android) and web interfaces using React Native and React Web.
* Collaborate closely with the founding team to provide delightful user product experiences.
* Iterate rapidly, test hypotheses, and refine features based on user feedback.
* Take an active role in hiring and building out the front-end development team, identifying talent needs, conducting interviews, and onboarding new team members.
* Help set the foundation for our engineering culture and grow with the company. Have impact beyond your engineering work.
**Requirements:**
* 5+ years of software development experience.
* Extensive experience with React Native and familiarity with React Web.
* Proven experience as a tech lead on projects, with a track record of launching products and leading teams.
* Excellent written communication skills, essential for thriving in a remote work environment.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience in mentorship and developing junior engineers.
* Knowledge of Tailwind.css and Node.js on TypeScript is advantageous but not required.
* Curiosity and passion for exploring emerging technologies and to experimenting with fresh ideas.
