team to drive our next phase of growth and innovation.
### The Opportunity
As a pivotal member of our nascent engineering team, you'll:
* Work closely with the CEO and CTO to bring products from 0 to 1
* Have the autonomy to steer key architectural decisions and institute engineering best practices
* Dive into exciting greenfield initiatives: from crafting intuitive UIs for customer-facing products and internal tools to facilitate human-in-the-loop AI, to developing scalable backend systems and state-of-the-art machine learning models
* Shape our company values and define our engineering culture

### Requirements
* **Ownership & Drive:** Take full responsibility for project deliverables, demonstrate initiative, and proactively solve challenges.
* **Technical Mastery:** 4+ years of intense experience with backend software development
* Web application development
* We are language agnostic, but expect to demonstrate mastery in at least a single language or framework
* Creating and maintaining CRUD API endpoints
* Working with relational databases
* Familiarity with Docker, Azure, or GCP
* **Problem-Solving:** Navigate engineering tradeoffs effectively, balancing speed with quality.
* **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent hands-on experience in a software development role.
### Bonus
* Familiarity with Typescript, Node.js, Postgres, Redis, tRPC, Vercel
* Experience in building search and recommendation systems
* Prior roles as a tech lead and experience in the fast-paced startup environment
