Job Description

BLDUP seeks an experienced Front-End Engineer to help us bring the design and
user experience of our Ruby on Rails platform to the next level. BLDUP is a
real-time CRE (Commercial Real Estate) system that tracks construction
projects from their proposal to their completion. We are innovating in a data-
heavy space and are looking for a talented engineer to help us keep
accelerating the pace. We are still in startup mode and are looking to bring
on someone that's excited to be constantly learning and working through a lot
of quick-moving parts!

Our ideal candidate has:

* Several years of experience working on production-grade web applications
* Experience working with Ruby on Rails views, haml/erb, Turbolinks/Turbo and the general RoR workflow to prototype and implement ideas quickly
* Expert knowledge of front-end technologies and frameworks. We have some opinions, but will be looking to your expertise to help us build a great UI layer by leveraging RoR and whatever technologies get us the best return on investment
* Excellent writing and communication skills

Nice to have:

* UX experience a huge plus
* Familiarity working with data-heavy applications to display data in clear and concise ways

In a typical day, you will:

* Work directly with the CTO and engineering team to scope and build features in an agile environment
* Review the UX/UI of existing features, as well as the underlying data, and help identify improvements/overhauls to deliver the best interactive user experience
* Sketch/prototype your designs, then get them to production
* Make sure we’re meeting our timeline goals

Job Types: Full-time, open to Part-time for the right candiates

Compensation: $115,000.00 - $150,000.00+ per year, depending on experience

Proximity to Boston, MA is a plus and would be ideal to collaborate in person
as necessary, but not required.
