Position summary

T-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE
and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity
for all. Engineers, Software located in Overland Park, KS will develop cost-
effective information technology solutions by creating new and modifying
existing software applications.

**Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**

* analyze systems requirements, existing business processes and information systems;

* code, test, and debug documents; implement software applications that are more complex with full competency;

* perform development activities in support of a new application performing product catalog and order management functions;

* work within the chosen vendor’s application suite in order to build out functionality prioritized by business team;

* integrate with development team in order to complete tasks and demo results to product owners every two weeks;

* work closely with existing resources to gain necessary knowledge of the system; and

* demonstrate the ability to work independently in order to achieve desired results.

**Specific Skills Requirement** - **must have educational or professional
experience in:**

* Experience (1) Develop applications using Java and Python languages or comparable tools according to business needs.

* Experience (2) Oversee DevOps processes, including building out pipelines utilizing industry tools including Bitbucket, Jenkins and Nexus or comparable tools to increase development throughput, reduce team overhead, and reduce production disruption.

* Experience (3) Install, Configure, Deploy and manage web and enterprise applications on JBOSS/TOMCAT or comparable application servers.

* Experience (4) Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them to Kubernetes clusters to create highly scalable and redundant applications to reduce downtime.

* Experience (5) Experience with setup infrastructure on-premises using Kubernetes or comparable tools and in-cloud using AWS or comparable services in order to provide geo redundant cloud environments.

* Experience (6) Configure applications and infrastructure monitoring using tools including AppDynamicsGrafanaor comparable tools to ensure that critical tier 0 business systems maintain optimal health.

**Experience and education requirements:**

* PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related, and one year of relevant work experience.

* ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related, and three years of relevant work experience.

Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable
commuting distance.

* At least 18 years of age
* Legally authorized to work in the United States
* T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law.
