### **About the Team**
The Cloud Infrastructure team takes care of cloud infrastructure and site-
reliability functions at Opendoor. We are responsible for building out the
shared services capabilities, frameworks, tools, and processes to enable
internal teams to run their infrastructure reliably and efficiently.
We're seeking to hire a hands-on Manager to build a new Cloud Engineering team
in India. This person will work closely with the North American Infrastructure
teams to jointly deliver on the Infrastructure roadmap. This role carries
significant latitude and autonomy and is one of the early technical leads in
the India team, with an opportunity to shape our engineering culture in India.
### Role Responsibilities:
* Hire and lead a team of 4-5 Cloud Infrastructure engineers to execute on Opendoor’s Cloud strategy.
* Break down technical problems into executable milestones, write EDDs, code and build critical components with other engineers in the team.
* Guide the broader team in making intelligent and pragmatic technical trade-offs.
* Design and implement processes to maintain and improve organization-wide reliability which may include proposing tactics to improve our observability platform.
### Skills Needed:
* Ability to technically lead a team of engineers to deliver on Infrastructure projects.
* Proficient coding skills in one or more languages - we mostly write Go, Python, and Ruby at Opendoor, but experience with others is also valuable.
* 5+ years of DevOps and SRE experience.
* Practical experience administering and provisioning Kubernetes pipelines.
* Experience with creating and managing AWS resources with Terraform.
* Familiarity with monitoring and optimizing Observability systems like Sentry or Datadog.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, lead with a growth mindset and be a team player.
