**About The Role**
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our rapidly growing mobile
and web engineering team, reporting to our Co-Founder & CTO. As an Engineering
Manager at Somewear, you’ll play a fundamental role in hiring, onboarding,
coaching, and leading engineers as we continue to grow, empowering them to do
their best work and provide the best possible outcome for Somewear Labs. This
is an exciting time to be a part of the Somewear Labs team — you will have an
incredible impact on the engineering and product org, as we scale up the
product, the business, and our organization.
* _Responsibilities: *_
Scaling our Engineering team and processes including recruiting, onboarding,
mentoring, goal setting, performance reviews, and professional development
Own the collective execution and output of your team, empowering your team
members and unblocking them as needed
Driving rapid product development and delivery
Ensuring development best practices are followed - code reviews, testing,
documentation, etc
Provide technical guidance and mentorship
Work with stakeholders to iron out product requirements and timelines
Help scale our culture as we grow
* _Requirements: *_
2+ years of experience in a tech leadership role, managing and mentoring
engineers and track record of shipping high quality products
Strong hands-on expertise with Android and iOS development as well as
knowledge of web technologies React and Typescript.
You get just as excited (or more!) about solving people-related problems as
you do technical problems
Excellent communication, collaboration, and people management skills
Creates team environments that are collaborative, creative, empowering,
supportive, and challenging —ones where engineers do their best work.
