We are seeking an energetic and forward-thinking, seasoned engineering manager
with experience in digital banking. You will be leading a team of developers
to create, document, and continuously improve our customer facing mobile
applications.
As the leader of the development team you will provide the technical vision
and roadmap to meeting our customers needs. You will manage a complicated
technical environment and oversee our development team in creating mobile
applications our customers love.
**You will:**
* Prioritize product development activities, presenting trade-offs to stakeholders and customers as necessary to provide clarity of direction
* Provide strategy, direction, coaching and mentoring, for a product first mindset across the organization while maintaining consistency of vision
* Stay abreast of the market, continuously identifying necessary adjustments to the vision and strategy to stay ahead
* Ensure stakeholders are well informed of product development progression
* Own the applications - drive product development by doing anything necessary to reach the desired outcome, overcoming issues as they arise, while building the future state technology stack
* Actively lead our engineering team. This is a managerial role and you will have multiple direct reports
* Partner with our core banking software vendors, cloud architecture, testing and other teams as necessary to ensure successful delivery
* Ensure appropriate documentation
* Minimize technical debt and ensure that take a conscientious approach to software development
**Knowledge, Skills, Requirements**
* 8+ years in an engineering management role in a high integrity and/or highly regulated environment (finance, healthcare, government)
* Experience integrating datasets from multiple sources
* Entrepreneurial mindset
* Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external technical partners
* Can clearly and concisely synthesize/communicate complex requirements, and/or organizational problems and propose solutions while working through complicated, matrixed decision paths.
* Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to find the correct path given limited guidance
