About Us
There is a dire need to create more housing in the US that is affordable. We
need to create 20M new units of housing in this decade. We are part of the
solution. Our platform will ultimately create more housing quickly,
economically, and efficiently. We are experts and changemakers in this space.
Our core offering connects all key financing players in a multifamily housing
project: developers, non-profit partners, banks, tax credit syndicators &
housing finance agencies. We work with these organizations to collect, collate
and parse due diligence files, data, and to create underwriting packages and
investment memos. Our platform provides actionable insights and business
intelligence for data-driven underwriting and asset management to both lenders
and borrowers/developers.
As an Engineering Manager at Builders Patch, you will work on projects that
impact the highest priorities of our technology roadmap and the business, all
while collaborating cross-functionally with multiple teams.
The role
* Work alongside the CEO, head of product and design, and other members of the engineering, product, and design team
* Mentor, manage and grow a team of engineers
* Manage and work with a remote development team based in India
* Participate in code reviews and technical leadership
* Define and enforce quality standards and review processes
* Know and apply best practices to continuously improve our engineering development
What you bring to the table
* 5+ years of software engineering experience and 2+ years of management experience leading small engineering teams
* A highly technical, hands-on developer and an effective people manager with experience directly leading teams
* Experience going through several successful release cycles delivering software
* You have experience with many of the following technologies: Python, AWS, Kafka, Angular, MVC
* Excellent in balancing team morale, while continuing to execute against aggressive deadlines
