**NOTE:** This position starts off with Equity only for part-time and will
turn into full-time with competitive compensation.
We are looking for an experienced Director of Software Engineering to lead our
talented engineering team. The ideal candidate will work with our CTO and CEO
to guide our technical vision, ensuring the highest quality in development
practices, and overseeing the evolution of our microservices platform.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Strategic Leadership:
* Define and execute the technical strategy in line with Jaspur's business goals.
* Collaborate with other departments to align technology and business objectives.
* Identify opportunities for technological innovation within the sustainable fashion industry.
Team Development & Mentorship:
* Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
* Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation.
Technical Oversight:
* Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of our microservices platform, our partner portal and consumer web application.
* Ensure architectural integrity, scalability, and security.
* Drive the adoption of best practices, methodologies, and standards within the engineering team.
Product Development & Collaboration:
* Work closely with product management, design, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features.
* Oversee the early trial phase and evaluate feedback for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a
leadership role.
• Extensive experience with microservices architecture and web application
development.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Strong understanding of the Sustainable Activewear market is a plus.
