**Job Description:**
Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to provide Agile DevOps support.
Based in DevOps framework, you will participate in and/or direct major
deliverables throughout all aspects of the software development lifecycle
including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit
testing.
**Basic Qualifications**
* Participate in automating and developing Continuous integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using AWS services.
* Use industry leading DevOps tools like AWS CodeDeploy, AWS pipeline, AWS code commit, CFT. Ansible, Jenkins, Unix bash scripting, python.
* Experience with middleware tools like Apache, tomcat, Wildfly, microservices, API integration.
* Support in the development and integrate custom developed software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologies
* Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices
* Support in the development of software system validation and testing methods using Junit and Katalon
* Support the documentation and perform systems software development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environments.
* Leverage Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activities
* Support best practices and standard operating procedures
**Mandatory skills**
* Candidate must have BS degree and 2-3 years of prior relevant experience in automation using AWS services.
* Experience with scripting languages, such as Java, Ansible, Python, Bash
* Experience in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practices
* Understanding of using version control systems
* Understanding of using issue/problem tracking systems
* Understanding of common Agile practices, service-orientated environments, and development practices
* Understanding of SAFe development practices
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* AWS professional DevOps certification
**Typical Minimums**
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 to 3 years of professional experience.
* Candidates must have stayed in the USA for the past 3 consecutive years.
