We are hiring a Developer Relations expert to join the Sia Foundation team, to
help grow, build, and support our developer community. Sia is a cloud storage
platform powered by decentralized storage technology. Our vibrant community
includes businesses, products, and startups who are leveraging the Sia
platform's unique capabilities.
As our Developer Relations expert, you'll bridge the gap between our technical
team and our global community, ensuring that developers around the world
understand and can effectively use the Sia platform. You will communicate the
value and power of Sia's technology and work closely with developers to create
a vibrant and supportive ecosystem.
### Requirements
* Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Go, Python, JavaScript, etc.
* Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple and intuitive communications.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with experience writing technical content and explaining technical concepts in English.
* Experience developing and implementing effective communication strategies that build loyalty and brand awareness.
* Collaborative by nature; willing to give and receive feedback.
* Previous experience in similar roles within the blockchain space is helpful.
### The Ideal Candidate
* Has an interest in open-source software development and the Sia protocol and community.
* A clear understanding of fundamental principles in software development and p2p technologies.
* Proven ability to develop and execute targeted communication and content distribution strategies for community growth, including crafting engaging technical content, selecting optimal distribution channels, and fostering community engagement.
* Passionate about storage and public-blockchain technologies.
* An independent operator - ability to self-task with the curiosity to explore the unknown.
### Responsibilities
* Be a point of contact for technical collaborations and growing relationships within the developer and contributor ecosystem.
* Gather feedback to understand the needs and wants of the developer community; relay that feedback to the development team to help create features, products, and positioning that engage, excite and empower the developer community to build on Sia.
* Produce and maintain public-facing technical resources, such as API documentation.
* Create engaging content, including but not limited to technical talks, tutorials, and blog posts that educate developers on our platform.
* Present at in-person or virtual conferences, hackathons, podcasts, and other events.
