Job Description

Ori is seeking a Deployment Engineer (DE) to be responsible for managing the
deployment of Ori products (and other automation technology) at construction
or operational sites. A candidate must be comfortable wearing hard hats and
safety shoes, working in construction environments, and traveling when needed.
This role involves the training, coordination, supervision and management of
third-party installers, which can occasionally include having difficult
conversations to keep projects on-track. Prior experience in hands-on
engineering and working on large scale projects is required. A successful
candidate will be self-driven, with strong instincts that identify issues and
the internal drive to resolve them.

The Ori DE will work with upstream partners during the product ideation phases
to ensure that downstream customer satisfaction is met when developing new
products. The DE also will report back any product related learnings to the
Product team. This role requires becoming the Subject Matter Expert (SME) or
technical expert on site for Deployment teams, developing strong relationships
with other stakeholders, upstream innovation teams, and downstream PM and
operations partners. The Ori DE will provide benchmark KPIs by being the voice
of operations and funneling information from downstream partners to upstream
partners on Critical to Quality (CTQ) metrics post deployments. This role will
lead continuous improvement efforts with the goal of increasing efficiency and
quality.

**Responsibilities:**

* Lead deployment projects that are business critical and may be global in nature
* Deliver projects through initiation to delivery
* Identify key milestones, documents and manage project schedule with input from program management
* Troubleshoot product breakdowns and quality issues and participate in root cause analysis to mitigate ongoing exposure
* Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions on suspect parts to ensure product integrity
* Design, fabricate, implement and fully document product improvements and modifications related to field fixes. Report those learnings back to the Product team
* Train and develop other team members and stakeholders
* Provide product feedback including hardware, controls, system integration and ergonomics, and safety
* Assess product and system for deployability
* Iterate on training material for effectiveness and increased adoption for both operation and maintenance
* Audit sites to benchmark CTQs - quality, inventory management, install task times
* Own replacement part requests and coordinate with manufacturers to ensure parts are processed and delivered as needed

* _Requirements: *_

* 2+ years working experience in line with role’s level of responsibility, including program management
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Experience working with the designs of complex equipment, technologies, and systems
* Experience with process design based on lean principles
* Proficiency using technical software such as AutoCAD
* Fluency in Google and/or Microsoft applications (especially Sheets and Excel) is crucial; working knowledge of Salesforce (or similar CRM platforms) is helpful; familiarity with project management software applications such as Asana is a plus
* Skilled in triage and making the right trade-offs between schedule, resources, and scope in order to deliver on project
* Proficiency with concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making
* Able to work with autonomy by operating with minimal oversight or guidance, while consulting with leadership for broader business context
* Up to 50% travel required
