**Duties & Responsibilities:**
* Dive deep into extensive mining data sets, applying statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to uncover actionable insights and improve operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data science challenges and develop innovative solutions.
* Develop and implement predictive models and algorithms to optimize mineral processing and production processes.
* Utilize your expertise in data visualization to create compelling reports and dashboards, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions.
* Stay up-to-date with advancements in data science and mineral processing technology, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance mineral processing practices.
##### **Qualification Requirements:**
* Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Chemical / Metallurgical / Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
##### **Experience & Skills Requirements:**
* Up to one year’s work experience will be advantageous.
* Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and predictive modeling techniques.
* Experience in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL will be advantageous.
* Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js will be advantageous.
* Familiarity with mineral processing concepts, processes, and data sets.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in a mineral processing context.
* Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex findings to diverse stakeholders.
* Enthusiasm for continuous learning and a genuine passion for leveraging data science in the mineral processing industry.
* English language proficiency.
* Must be a South African Citizen.
