### **The Role** :
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Data Engineering and Development
Team Lead to join nora and be a part of driving our future success. In this
role, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of engineers
while driving the development and maintenance of our data infrastructure and
software solutions. Your ability to handle ambiguity, make strategic
decisions, and bridge the gap between data engineering and software
development will be critical to your success.
### **Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Team Leadership and Development** : Build, lead, and mentor a cross-functional team of data engineers and software developers.
2. **Strategic Vision and Execution** : Collaborate with leadership to define the data engineering and software development strategy that aligns with our company's goals.
3. **Data Engineering** : Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of ETL processes, data warehouses, and data lakes. Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all systems.
4. ** Software Development**: Lead/manage the development of software applications that leverage data insights and AI models.
5. **Dealing with Ambiguity** : Navigate and thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where requirements and priorities may change rapidly.
6. **Cross-Functional Collaboration** : Work closely with data scientists, healthcare professionals, and product managers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
7. **Innovation and Continuous Improvement** : Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in data engineering, software development, and AI.
8. **Security and Compliance** : Ensure that all data systems and software solutions comply with relevant security standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
### **Qualifications** :
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience (5+ years) in data engineering and software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
* Strong proficiency with full-stack development including Python, JavaScript, React, SQL, Docker, Kubernetes.
* Data analytics and ML expertise including TensorFlow, PyTorch, NLP, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and related analytics tools.
* Significant “big data” and cloud experience including Hadoop, Spark, Apache Kafka, Airflow, Beam, AWS Glue, Lambda, and SageMaker.
* Strong understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies and automated testing.
* Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.
