**Role Overview:**
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO)/Head of Engeering will be a key member of
the executive team, responsible for leading the company’s technological vision
and strategy. The CTO will oversee all technical aspects of the company,
ensuring the successful development and deployment of AI and machine learning
solutions. In addition to being a strategic thinker with a deep understanding
of AI technologies, this role requires you to be a player-coach willing to get
under the hood and work alongside the engineering team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Technology Strategy & Vision: Develop and implement a comprehensive
technology strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals and
objectives. Drive innovation and ensure the company's technology
infrastructure supports current and future needs.
• AI & Machine Learning Leadership: Lead the development and deployment of
advanced AI and machine learning solutions. Stay abreast of industry trends
and emerging technologies to keep the company at the forefront of AI
advancements.
• Product Development: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of
high-quality, scalable, and reliable software products. Collaborate with
product management and other stakeholders to ensure products meet market needs
and deliver exceptional value to customers.
• Team Management: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing technical team.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
within the technology department.
• Technical Oversight: Provide hands-on technical leadership, guidance, and
direction to the development team. Ensure best practices in software
development, data security, and system architecture are followed.
• Player-Coach: Roll up your sleeves and collaborate with the engineering team
by developing code to meet project deadlines.
• Partnerships & Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the
executive team to drive the company's growth and success. Establish and
maintain relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and industry experts.
• Budget & Resource Management: Manage the technology budget and ensure
efficient allocation of resources to meet strategic objectives. Monitor and
report on the performance of the technology team and projects.
• Technical Liaison: Assist the executive team and lead technical discussions
with fellow employees, customers and investors. This includes the ability to
translate complex technical details into easy-to-understand concepts and
ideas.
**Qualifications:**
• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science,
Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees in engineering are a plus.
• Experience:
• Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar senior technology leadership
role, preferably in high-growth technology companies.
• Extensive experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data
science.
• Strong track record of successfully leading and scaling technology teams and
projects.
• Technical Skills:
• Deep understanding of AI/ML algorithms, frameworks, and tools.
• Proficiency in software development and programming languages (e.g., Python,
Java, C++).
• Knowledge of cloud computing, data architecture, and cybersecurity best
practices.
• Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership, communication, and
interpersonal skills. Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-
technical stakeholders and build strong cross-functional relationships.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the
ability to make data-driven decisions and tackle complex technical challenges.
