Taconic Biosciences is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our
dedicated Quality team in this onsite position at our Cambridge City, IN
facility. This role will require future flexibility to travel to all sites
globally, as needed.

**The Pay Band:** $80,000 - $115,000. _The upper end of this range is not
always likely to be offered, as an individual 's compensation can vary based
on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic
location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions._

**The Role:**

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will support process management, drive
continuous improvement efforts, and build capacity for change in the
organization. They will do this by facilitation of improvement
projects/events, coaching and training others in continuous improvement
methods/concepts and being an approachable influencer within the organization.

**Duties of the Continuous Improvement Engineer include the following:**

* Monitor, analyze, design, and implement processes and procedures resulting in cost savings, optimized resource utilization, streamlined flow, heightened levels of safety and overall improved performance.
* Lead/facilitate improvement initiatives, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to translate value stream plans into highly effective and efficient processes and procedures.
* Support the management of the change control, calibration, and validation processes.
* Develop/update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and other process related documents.
* Drive organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and demonstrate positive performance behaviors in support of building a continuous improvement culture.
* Participate in process reviews and GEMBA walks to observe compliance to SOP's and achievement of KPI's - adjust as needed.
* Track, analyze and report trends to aid in the identification, prioritization, and execution of future improvements efforts.
* Manage new product design elements from concept to production.
* Support the implementation, execution, and management of the Taconic transformational continuous improvement model.
* Some physical exertion is required such as long periods of standing, recurring bending and lifting, and/or lifting of items up to 25 pounds.

**Education and Experience:**

* Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from 4-year college or university in engineering function or operations discipline, or technical/managerial experience at an equivalent level.
* Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred
* Advanced Lean Training preferred
* Minimum of 5 years of Engineering experience (preferably process engineering) preferred.
* Broader functional experience is a plus (quality, finance, etc.).
* Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization, internally and externally
* Ability to lead process and continuous improvement projects/events.
* Ability to innovatively look at different paths to design improved future state processes.
* Ability to express ideas concisely and in an easily understood manner, gain buy-in from others, and the ability to turn the imagined future into a sustained reality.
* Must be able to work within a diverse organization, including people from different cultures, backgrounds, levels, and perspectives, collaborating to find best solutions for the organization.
* Must be a highly adaptable, proven change agent and exhibit positive behaviors consistent with building a culture of continuous improvement.

**Travel:**

* Occasional travel required, generally 2-5 trips per year.
