Job Description

**Collective Liquidity**

Collective has launched the first wealth technology platform for the private
market. The growth in the number and size of “unicorns” – venture-backed
private growth companies valued over $1BN – has been extraordinary. There are
now +1,000 unicorns with a cumulative value of more than $3TN. Despite the
market’s size, unicorn shareholders and investors lack the tools to manage
their wealth. Collective’s unique products enable tax-deferred diversification
and liquidity to generate dramatically better financial outcomes. The
management team is made up of founders and board members of leading private
market platforms including SharesPost & SharesPost 100 Fund, Forge Global, and
Nasdaq Private Market. They’re now using that experience to deliver efficient
liquidity and risk management to unicorn employees, issuers, and investors.

**Collective Products and Services**

Collective has launched the Collective Exchange Fund, a diversified portfolio
of leading unicorns. To reduce their financial risk, unicorn employees can
exchange their shares tax free for an interest in the fund of equal value. If
at any time they also need liquidity, they can borrow against their fund
interest on a non-recourse basis or redeem their fund interest for cash. All
transactions can be initiated instantly from the Collective website. The
result for many shareholders is more after-tax cash upfront than they’d
receive from a stock sale while still preserving long-term upside in the
Exchange Fund.

Collective also provides access to option exercise financing for those who own
options in the fund’s target portfolio companies and are interested in
completing an Exchange but need assistance with exercising their options
first.

**About The Role**

The Compliance Director will play a critical role serving as a key advisor to
multi-functional teams such as finance, legal, compliance, technology, and the

expectations.

**A Day in the Life**

-Manage the Compliance Management System (Risk Assessment, Documenting Policies and Procedures, Monitoring & Testing, Issue Management, Complaints Handling, etc.) while following applicable regulatory guidelines and Bank Partner standards.

-Perform risk assessments and prioritize compliance activities in areas identified as having the highest levels of legal, regulatory, business, or reputational risk to the company.

**What We’re Looking For**

-Someone who fits Collective’s culture – i.e., someone that is smart, humble and hungry, a highly motivated self-starter determined to help their teammates and company succeed.

-5+ years of regulatory lending compliance experience.

-4+ years in a leadership role with a financial institution.

-Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.

-A current CRCM designation or a JD from an accredited university, preferred.

-Excellent ability to analyze and interpret legal and statutory materials as well as state and federal regulations.

-Strong self-confidence, good judgment, and the ability to make sound decisions.

-Experience partnering with legal departments, management teams, operations teams, and outside service providers to develop policies, procedures, and controls or remediate findings in internal and external reviews, examinations, or audits.

-Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, take ownership of projects and successfully meet established project deadline requirements.

-Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.

-Desire for continual process improvement and willingness to engage in all aspects of the business in a start-up environment.
