Job Description

Are you a full-stack (or back-end) software developer looking to create
something that will actually "make our world a better place"? Do you want to
be part of a motivated team of co-founders (and be a co-founder yourself)
creating an app that really matters?

If "yes," then we may have an exciting opportunity -- and challenge -- for
you.

We are looking for three additions to our team of EdTech pioneers this quarter
as we complete our Permission Pal beta and bring it to market. We were
recently among a small number of startups selected for TechCrunch Disrupt
2021's Startup Alley Plus program. And as we continue discussing options with
potential investors, we're ramping up production.

**We are currently bootstrapping!**
That does mean that there will be no full-time salary (at first) for everyone
on the team. BUT you will be in line for a full-time salary+bonus+equity
position after we complete our current round of fundraising.

Because you would be joining the founding team pre-funding, you will be
receiving common stock ownership (not options) in our company and be listed as
an official co-founder. After completing our funding round, we will no longer
be distributing direct shares to new hires.

Initial time commitment: approximately 7-12 hours per week.

**About TonnerTech**
Tonner Technologies' team of co-founders consists of educators and parents
with a shared vision of improving our schools through technology. Our CEO and
primary founder is Kathy Tonner, a nurse with nearly three decades of
experience in the Chicago Public School systems.

Although we initially developed an app to help school nurses (SchoolNurse411),
our focus is now on our Permission Pal platform, which will digitize, optimize
and empower the consent, event and fundraising management of schools and
student groups.

We recently highlighted our Permission Pal MVP at TechCrunch Disrupt 2021
Startup Alley and received overwhelming response. More importantly, we
continue to apply Lean Startup methodology to validate our proposed solutions
with real educational stakeholders.

**About the position**
TonnerTech is developing its Permission Pal Beta for a spring release, and
weโ€™re seeking an talented software developer to help our product team iterate
and update our platform, as we prepare to go to market.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following skills or
experience:

* 3+ years of either full-stack or back-end software development experience
* Expertise with NodeJS and React a must
* Expertise with databases, such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB
* Experience working in an Agile environment, preferably Scrum.
* Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
* Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
* Comfortable using different REST APIs and integrations
* Solid expertise with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and building mobile, responsive/adaptive applications
* Ability to diagnose & fix bugs and performance bottlenecks

**Compensation**

* Equity ownership position in the company
* Equity only, with the potential for a full-time salary+bonus+equity position in the future
* No additional benefits for now, but we hope to offer them later this year
