Job Description

KingPool is the first "Fantasy Sports-as-a-Service" product of its kind,
enabling businesses to increase customer engagement and generate leads through
AI-enabled interactive fantasy sports challenges.

We are at the pre-seed stage -- MVP mobile app is built, a few successful
pilots have been conducted, and now we are ramping up our product/market fit
and customer acquisition efforts in preparation for a hopeful pre-seed
fundraise. We are seeking a highly experienced all-around marketing and sales
leader who can refine our marketing processes, get qualified leads in the
door, and help us get our first paying customers. You are extremely excited
about working in an early-stage startup and would be motivated to help us
grow. The intention is for you to possess impressive technical marketing
skills, but will also be expected to build and own the marketing team(s) as we
scale. This will involve both B2B SaaS marketing, as well as consumer
marketing.

Responsibilities:

* Refine current marketing strategies and processes for BOTH B2B SaaS customers, as well as consumer end user customers
* Build sales pipelines through various digital marketing channels and own lead generation efforts - automated email marketing, cold calling, influencer marketing, content marketing, partnerships, etc.
* Develop communications strategies, templates, general customer discovery language
* Develop GTM strategy, product positioning and ICP (ideal customer profile) strategy
* Act as "voice of the customer", capturing ICP feedback and relaying back to product team
* Provide marketing strategy insights to develop founding team skillsets
* Identify needs for building seed stage marketing team

Qualifications:

* 8+ years in digital marketing, sales, or GTM roles -- I want this person being the expert, being the leader who can own and build this unit
* Experience leading, building, and scaling teams
* Either impressive technical experience with one (1) or some experience with multiple forms of digital marketing / lead generation: automated email campaigns, cold calling, influencer marketing, content marketing, social media marketing, affiliate partnerships, etc.
* B2B marketing experience is the priority right now, B2C marketing experience is a plus
* Experience in early stage startups, prior experience taking a pre-seed startup to seed stage and beyond is a huge plus
* Experience in sports, sports tech, sales and marketing tech, other related fields is a plus, although not required
* Experience in marketing for mobile and web apps is a plus, experience growing download rates of mobile apps is a plus
* Experience with CRMs or prospect management tools is a plus - Apollo, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.
* Possession of several characteristics: must love working as a team, enjoying challenges, not afraid to fail and take risks, keeping a positive attitude, being agile and open-minded, and embracing creativity

Compensation / Logistics:

* KingPool as of today is an unfunded operation, we built our MVP with a small crowdfund, and our next milestone is raising our pre-seed round once we build our commercial traction a bit. This position will be unpaid and equity only at first, and with that you are not expected to quit your day job and can approach this as a part-time effort for now. Upon fundraise, I can be flexible with desired salary, initial thoughts would be $100k-$150k depending on fundraise success, but we can have transparent conversations about this upfront to understand your needs.
