**Overview**
ReFocus AI seeks a Chief Technology Officer to join our fast-paced team and
help drive ReFocus adoption in North America. As the CTO, you will have the
opportunity to be part of a team focused on increasing technology adoption of
machine learning (ML) by engaging with C-level executives, technology
visionaries, and influencers at all levels. You will work closely with your
colleagues to build advanced machine-learning models for insurance
institutions, from insurtech start-ups to the most prominent agencies,
brokerages, carriers, and wholesalers.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong machine learning background and have
demonstrated experience leading ML development in past roles. The ideal
candidate will also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about
business, product, and technical challenges, with the skill set to drive
strategic execution of sales and business development goals.
**Responsibilities**
* Hand-on development of the next generation of ReFocus AI products.
* Lead the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships.
* Create timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services.
* Make executive decisions on behalf of the company's technological requirements.
* Act as a mentor to team members.
* Set and monitor KPIs & IT budgets to assess technological performance.
* Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors.
* Create overall technology standards and practices and ensure adherence.
* _Required Qualifications *_
* 5+ years designing, building, and maintaining complex web applications, with at least 2+ years as a full-stack developer.
* 5+ years developing code in Python, Java, and Javascript.
* 2+ years in an IT leadership position or past CTO experience.
* 3+ years deploying code through containerization and CI/CD to AWS.
* 2+ years supporting the deployment of new machine learning algorithms and architectures to the cloud.
* Ability to lead the development of web-based services and deploy applications to the cloud.
**Education & Experience**: Possess an MS in Computer Science, Machine
Learning or a related field.
* _Preferred Qualifications *_
* 3+ years of Mulesoft experience and certifications
* Familiar with NextJS and PostgreSQL.
* Cloud Architect AWS Certification
* Experience with GitHub Actions
