As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a crucial role
in expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth. You will be
responsible for generating new leads, building relationships with potential
clients, and closing sales. This is a high-impact role that requires excellent
communication skills, a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to
thrive in a fast-paced, hypergrowth environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Prospect and identify potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, social media, and networking events.
2. Qualify leads and conduct thorough research to understand their needs, pain points, and how our fintech solutions can address them effectively.
3. Engage with prospects to build relationships, understand their goals, and articulate the value proposition of our products and services.
4. Conduct compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our solutions.
5. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective strategies for lead generation and conversion.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, including prospecting efforts, pipeline management, and sales forecasts.
7. Follow up with prospects in a timely manner to nurture leads and move them through the sales funnel.
8. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with potential clients, ensuring alignment with company objectives and revenue targets.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and customer success, to provide feedback and insights from the field to improve our offerings.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' activities to effectively position our solutions and differentiate our offerings.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a commission-based sales role, preferably in the fintech or financial services industry.
2. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
3. Strong prospecting and lead generation skills, with the ability to identify and engage with decision-makers effectively.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. Highly motivated and results-oriented, with a drive to succeed in a fast-paced, startup environment.
6. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Tech-savvy with a good understanding of financial technology and its applications.
8. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred.
