We are looking for a talented engineer to join our team in a hybrid backend
and security role. In this position, you will develop and implement backend
systems and services, while also ensuring they are designed and deployed
securely.
Responsibilities:
* Design, build and maintain performant backend infrastructure and APIs
* Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate backends with client-facing apps and services
* Conduct security assessments such as penetration testing on backend systems
* Monitor systems and applications for security vulnerabilities and incidents
* Respond to and investigate security breaches, coordinating with other teams as needed
* Help maintain and enforce security best practices across the organization
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience in backend development, security engineering, penetration testing, or a related field
* Proficiency with Python
* Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure
* Proven experience securing web applications and infrastructure
* Ability to write secure, well-tested, and maintainable code
* Strong understanding of common security vulnerabilities and attack vectors
* Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, as well as independently
* Passion for keeping products and users safe and secure
