the right Back-End Software Engineer to help us achieve our mission!
Join a multi-skilled team dedicated to developing innovative wearable cardiac
arrhythmia monitors and associated cloud-based software. In this role, you'll
work in a small and dedicated team passionate about the development of these
products. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the unique challenges and
opportunities of a fast-growing medical device organization, by solving
sophisticated technical problems, and have a penchant for continuous
improvement and engineering excellence.
##### **What you'll be doing**
* Build secure, reliable, scalable and efficient backends systems.
* Developing and maintaining a GraphQL API.
* Work as a team to develop high quality, testable applications based on product and regulatory requirements.
* Contribute within a collaborative environment, using lean but effective software practices.
* Design and coding practices consistent with security and regulatory standards.
* Develop software to integrate with legacy application systems and infrastructure, as needed.
##### **What you'll bring**
* 5+ years’ experience designing and developing web applications.
* Emphasis on designing and building backend systems and APIs (Graph preferred) and building systems at scale.
* Excellent coding skills and strong proficiency in web technologies, with an emphasis in JavaScript web development in Azure or Linux-based hosting.
* Experience with Node.js.
* Strong knowledge of database technologies: PostgreSQL, Azure SQL DB, Cosmos DB, and Azure storage tables.
* Demonstrated ability to tune application and database for performance.
* BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
* Demonstrable strong design and programming fundamentals.
* Familiarity with configuration management and issue tracking.
* Experience developing to any of HITRUST, HIPAA, SOC2, SOX, PCI standards preferred.
* Familiarity with .NET/Python/Java preferred.
