Balldraft is a Goal Oriented Startup. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled
Backend Developer to join our team as a volunteer. In this role, you will have
the opportunity to contribute to the development of our digital infrastructure
while supporting our mission.
**Position Overview:**
As a Backend Developer at Balldraft, you will be responsible for designing,
developing, and maintaining the server-side components of our web and mobile
applications. You will collaborate closely with our frontend developers,
designers, and stakeholders to ensure our digital platforms are robust,
scalable, and aligned with our organization's goals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Server-side Development: Design and develop server-side logic, APIs, and
databases to support the functionality of our web and mobile applications.
**Data Management: Implement and manage databases, ensuring data integrity,
security, and efficiency.
**Scalability: Architect backend systems that can scale to accommodate
increased traffic and usage.
**Security: Implement security best practices to protect user data and ensure
compliance with data protection regulations.
**Integration: Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth
integration between frontend and backend systems.
**Testing and Debugging: Conduct testing and debugging of backend components
to identify and resolve issues promptly.
**Performance Optimization: Optimize backend code and database queries for
speed and efficiency.
**Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of backend
systems and APIs.
**Stay Updated: Stay informed about emerging backend technologies, best
practices, and industry trends.
**Qualifications:**
* Proven experience as a Backend Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing your backend development projects.
* Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Python, and Node.js, or similar.
* Proficiency in Using Django Framework, because it's our primary Framework for development
* Experience with databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
Familiarity with API design and development.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
* Passion for progress.
**Time Commitment:**
This is a volunteer position with a flexible time commitment. We understand
that our volunteers have other commitments, and we appreciate any time and
effort you can dedicate to our cause.
