Robot Invader is a seed-stage startup building Story Machine, a no-code, AI-
infused, cross-platform 2D game engine for narrative games. Story Machine is
currently in private beta and aims to provide game developers with powerful
generative AI capabilities.
We're looking for a talented AI Services Engineer to join our remote only team
on a contract and help us take the AI capabilities in Story Machine to the
next level.
Position Overview: The AI Systems Engineer will own the AI feature set in
Story Machine, focusing on enhancing and expanding the generative AI
capabilities in the engine using third party services. (eg audio, voice-over,
sound effects, localization, image mutation).
Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the engineering team to design, implement, and test generative AI features
* Own the development and design for the next set of generative AI features in Story Machine
* Engage with game developers in the Story Machine private beta to get feedback and better understand their needs
Requirements:
* Strong proficiency in C++
* Deep understanding of and experience with current AI services and technologies
* Ability to make sensible decisions about what game developers need
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* High comfort level working remotely, using Slack, and operating effectively in an independent environment
Nice-to-Haves
* Some experience in game development
