Apiphany is a pioneering AI startup to empower engineers across industries. We
seek a passionate and talented AI Engineer to join our team.
**In this role, you will:**
1. Develop and implement machine learning models to tackle challenging problems in the hard-tech domain, focusing on manufacturing.
2. Contribute to the development a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system architecture, leveraging NLP and different search architectures (semantic, hybrid, etc.)
3. Fine-tune NLP models, including summarizers and classifiers
4. Participate in the creation of an AI companion
5. Contribute to the augmentation of a proprietary benchmark to continuously improve the performance and efficiency of our models
6. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in Deep-Learning, Retrieval, and Gen AI methodologies to leverage them into our products.
**You are a perfect fit if you have:**
1. Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Math, or related field. Or equivalent work experience in a similar role
2. 2+ years of professional experience in developing and deploying machine learning models.
3. Proficiency in machine learning such as TensorFlow, and PyTorch, and LLM frameworks for building text classification, summarization, and chatbots.
4. Experience working with real-world datasets and a holistic understanding of data preprocessing practices (selection, cleansing, etc.).
5. Solid understanding of deep learning architectures and their applications in NLP tasks.
6. Excellent programming skills in Python and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., Pytorch, NLTK, NumPy, Pandas, sci-kit-learn)
7. Experience with retrieval architectures and vector databases.
8. A passion for innovation and a desire to apply AI solutions to solve complex problems.
9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
10. Having manufacturing experience is a plus.
