**Responsibilities for this Role**
We are looking for an Associate to join our Investment Team. In that role, you
would:
* Source investment opportunities. This can include building dealflow pipelines with founders, crypto angels, and other crypto venture firms, by attending crypto events and hackathons to build relationships and source deals, and through other methods
* Perform detailed analyses and due diligence of investment opportunities
* Assist portfolio companies post-investment
* Perform reporting and operational work as needed for the firm
* Prepare memos for our Investment Committee and present your analyses/opinions at our committee meetings (and be prepared to defend them!)
* Contribute to the firm’s research / thought leadership initiatives
**Job Requirements**
* Strong passion for crypto – the ideal candidate lives/breathes crypto in their spare time
* Strong network within the crypto startup ecosystem
* Extraverted personality who enjoys networking and sourcing deals
* Detail-oriented and methodical critical thinking skills for diligence and decision making
* Prior relevant experience in the web3 startup ecosystem, either as an angel investor, venture capital, or as an early employee at a startup, or a experience at an investment bank or consulting firm or similar analytical role
**Preferred Experience (not required)**
* Relevant expertise in some aspect of startups that would make you value-add to win deals and help startups post-investment (e.g., prior relevant experience working at a web3 startup)
* Prior experience sourcing investment opportunities (as a founder angel, or for other venture funds)
* Technical background with an ability to understand crypto startups at a deep level
* Experience with domains that intersect crypto (e.g., AI, DeFi, open-source, crypto trading, etc.)

**Expected salary range: $100,000 to $150,000 plus potential for carried
interest**
This expected salary range reflects the good faith salary range for this role
and is not a promise of a particular wage for any specific employee. Specific
compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on factors such as
