**About the Role:**
As a Software Engineer in a highly agile and productive team, you will
contribute to development as well as maintaining Zadar's Software modules in
various parts of the stack. You will design, implement, test, validate and
verify modules across our tech stack. You will frequently cross boundaries to
solve critical issues which are not necessarily within your domain. You are
self-motivated and jump on finding and solving tough challenges as they arise.
You will be working alongside a world-class, humble and no-BS team with
extensive knowledge in the fields of radar technology, robotics, automotive
and safety critical engineering.
**What You'll be Doing:**
* Develop, implement and test cutting-edge radar algorithms, tools and control interfaces
* Collect and analyze data to optimize sensor and algorithm performance
* Implement tools and algorithms across multiple compute devices
* Develop cross-stack solutions to improve system performance and reliability, examples include system testing & validation, model training support
* Support sensor integration, feature requests, reference designs and data collection efforts
* Support customer experience by improving customer-facing tools
**We'd like you to have:**
* Passion for what you do and an open, humble and no-BS attitude
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields or equivalent experience
* Proficiency in C++ programming
* Familiarity with C, Python and Bash Scripting
* Familiarity with Operating Systems concepts
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* 0-5 years experience
**Nice-to-have or willing to learn:**
* Strong mathematical background including linear algebra, statistics and numerical methods
* Good understanding of Linux architecture and network operation
* Familiarity with perception systems used in autonomous vehicles or robotics
* Experience with OpenCV, PCL or other computer-vision libraries
* Experience with hardware and software components of perception systems (Radar, LiDAR, and/or Camera)
* Experience with Testing Automation concepts and tools (e.g. Jenkins, gtest)
* Experience with ROS
* Experience with GPU development and libraries (eg. CUDA)
* Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and algorithms
