the community of cappers, bettors, and sports media companies. We are excited
to invent a new creator category based on sports content, fostering growth and

Our hungry, dedicated team is empowering sports betting consultants, also
known as cappers, to monetize their expertise effectively. With our innovative
e-commerce SAAS platform, we provide these consultants with the tools they
need to launch and scale their online businesses. Over the past year, we’ve
emerged as the premium destination for sports content creators to sell their
analysis and picks and are consequently experiencing explosive growth.

### **Role Overview**

We’re looking for a seasoned engineering leader who has experience scaling
development teams and high-growth products. In this role, you’ll be working
closely with the CTO and an engineering team of 5 to ensure we scale our team
and consistently ship high-quality product that adds value to our customers.
You’ll spend about half your time writing code while the other half of your
time will be focused on code reviews, technology strategy, engineering process
development, team collaboration, recruiting, etc.

We expect this contributor to be an incredibly sharp and capable individual
contributor. You should be able to write high-quality code across our entire
stack - from writing terraform code, to SQL, to back-end code and front-end
react. We are looking for an engaged and committed engineering leader who is
ready to help us lead our product through our next phase of explosive growth.

### **Key Responsibilities**

* Lead the growth of a scalable, efficient, and reliable technology infrastructure that supports rapid development and deployment without sacrificing product quality and stability. **Maintain 99.99% uptime as we support our growing customer base (currently at 99.96% uptime over last 12 months)** Within 90 days, you will assume ultimate responsibility for site stability and lead all of our DevOps.
* Develop high-quality full-stack applications using Node.js, Next.js, React, Typescript. Participate in the full application development lifecycle including conception, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
* Work cross-functionally with Product, Design, Sales, Marketing and Operations to align engineering priorities with our larger company strategies. Contribute to and support cross-functional discussions and initiatives.
* Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects in collaboration with the engineering, product and design team. Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure our team builds against our agreed-upon best practices and ensure that projects are completed on time.
* Manage and scale the engineering team (currently 5 full-stack engineers) Interview, hire, and onboard new members while also ensuring effective collaboration, mentorship, and development of individual team members. Set clear goals and expectations for the team, and provide regular feedback to drive continuous improvement.

### **Qualifications**

* 5+ years of working full-time as an engineer
* 3+ years working as an engineering leader. Engineering managers don’t count :)
* Strong expertise with our web application stack (Nodejs, Next.js, React, Vercel)
* Strong expertise with our cloud infrastructure stack (vercel, AWS - RDS, SQS, Lambda, ECS, terraform).** You must be comfortable owning and developing the DevOps function!**
* Prior experience building and scaling technology infrastructure ranging from AWS resources to testing, quality assurance, and deployment infrastructure
* Strong SQL and analytical skills strongly preferred
* Ability to design and develop front-end and back-end web application architecture - state management, data model development, logic/view separation, styling, etc
* Demonstrates high-degree of craftsmanship in full-stack engineering and design. Software looks and feels beautiful.
* Ability to communicate ideas clearly and communicate effectively with engineering, design, product, and other stakeholders
* Prior experience interviewing, hiring, and scaling engineering teams.
* Adaptability and capability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
