Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced UI/UX Designer to join our growing
team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of user-centred
design principles and a proven track record of delivering intuitive and
visually appealing digital experiences for WeStock’s product. You will work
closely with our development team and other stakeholders to create end-user
value and ensure a seamless and engaging user experience.
Responsibilities:
Brand Voice and Identity: Incorporate our brand voice and identity through
colours, design elements and visual storytelling to create customer delight
and a positive brand influence on the platform.
User Research: In collaboration with other team members, conduct user journey
research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand
user needs, behaviours, and pain points.
Information Architecture: Develop and refine information architecture,
wireframes, and prototypes to ensure logical flow and ease of use.
Visual Design: Create high-fidelity mockups and design systems that align with
our brand guidelines and enhance overall user experience.
Interaction Design: Design user interfaces with a focus on interaction
patterns and micro-interactions to improve usability and engagement.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product
managers, developers, and marketers, to ensure design feasibility and
alignment with business goals.
Usability Testing: Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather
feedback and iterate on designs.
Prototyping: Develop interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and
user flows to stakeholders.
Design Systems: Maintain and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency
across all digital products and platforms.
Stay Updated: Stay current with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and
technologies and apply best practices to your work.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a
related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong
portfolio showcasing your design process and final deliverables.
Skills:
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Illustrator.
Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices.
Experience with conducting user research and usability testing.
Ability to create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site
maps.
Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail and consistency.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is a plus.
A basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
