**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly motivated AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team. The
ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud-based infrastructure,
automation, and continuous delivery. The successful candidate will be
responsible for designing, implementing, testing, optimizing, and maintaining
our cloud infrastructure, improving our development workflows, and ensuring
high availability and scalability of our systems.
Viribus is a financial participant in the US wholesale power markets. It is a
small, cross disciplinary team of industry experts who work 100% remote.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure for our applications and services.
* Develop and improve our continuous delivery and deployment pipelines.
* Monitor and troubleshoot system and application issues, operate as the first point of contact during Disaster Recovery events.
* Work with development teams to improve development workflows and ensure high code quality.
* Automate infrastructure and application deployment processes.
* Manage cloud infrastructure security and compliance.
* Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
* 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or infrastructure role.
* Experience, aptitude, and interest working in a remote-only role.
* Strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure, particularly AWS.
* Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
* Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
* Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
* Strong understanding of software development workflows and version control systems such as Git.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience working with North American ISO/RTO data.
* Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or infrastructure role.
* Experience with:
* Serverless computing and deployment; ex. Serverless Framework, SAM, Chalice
* Database management and transformations; ex. dbt, Snowflake
* Task and data orchestration; ex. Preset, Airflow, Dagster
* Distributed computing frameworks; ex. Ray, Dask, Spark
* Production MLOps, experiment tracking and management
