In this role you will use your technical knowledge and your creativity to
design new test methodologies and improve existing procedures to verify system
requirements. You will execute various tests, analyze data and document the
results. Working with various systems and subsystems will result in knowledge
of the entire system which is a valuable skill set that can open many career
growth opportunities within Viasat in test automation, system engineering and
software development
##### **What you'll need:**
* 2+ years’ System Engineering or System Integration and Test experience
* SATCOM or Wireless/RF Communication Systems experience * Experience with a programming or scripting language (i.e. Java, Python, or other)
* Proven networking knowledge (IP, TCP, UDP, Multicast, MPLS, REST etc.)
* Demonstrated experience with test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, multimeter, traffic generator, and others)
* Proven debugging and problem-solving skills
* Proficient with Microsoft Office tools suite
* Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
* U.S. Government position. U.S. Citizenship required
* Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain when administratively feasible
* Ability to travel up to 10%
##### **What will help you on the job:**
* Exposure to test automation frameworks (e.g., Jenkins and Selenium)
* Networking experience (e.g., Cisco CCNA and TCP/IP)
* Proficient in Python
* Experience with Linux command line and BASH
* Experience with system testing and verification especially in developing test plans and test procedures, and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Jama)
* Active DoD Secret Clearance
