The data engineer is responsible for consolidating data from various systems
and applications to create custom views that are used to support the reporting
needs of the bank and to provide insight into business processes and
operations.
##### **Data Engineer Essential Functions:**
* Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.
* Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
* Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
* Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologies.
* Building analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition.
##### **Data Engineer Job Qualifications:**
Strong experience through prior work in SAP HANA / BW reporting and analytics
projects.
Expert level SQL skills to troubleshoot and frame custom SQLs as needed.
Strong Data modelling knowledge to connect underlying data tables to usage in
reports.
3+ years Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse development experience
Strong experience in full life cycle development, implementation, management
and performance tuning of the Enterprise Data Warehouse
Experience and functional understanding with Enterprise applications like SAP
ECC
Must be a self-motivated, energetic, detail-oriented team player passionate
about producing high quality BI & Analytics deliverables Strong sense of
customer service for internal customers

**Education/Certifications/Licenses:**
Bachelor’s degree (or very extensive commensurate experience) in Data
Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration,
Mathematics, or a master’s degree in any of the above

**Physical Requirements:**
* Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and regularly lifting cash box of up to 10 lbs. and coin bags up to 30 lbs on occasion.
