experienced engineers, product managers, and designers where you’ll have the
opportunity to build and own innovative products from ideation to deployment.
As part of this newly built team at USSFCU, expect to deliver impact to our
members across the US Senate, Supreme Court, Capital Police and beyond. We’ve
reached over $1B worth of assets under our management and we’re aiming to
double that in a year or two by focusing on newly built experiences by the
team. We’re looking for people with a strong passion of owning and building
entire systems and products.

USSFCU is seeking a Software Engineer with a strong background in building
full stack applications from the ground up. As a Software Engineer, you will
be responsible for development and implementation of new full stack
applications, taking it from conception to deployment.

### About the Role

As a software engineer on the team, you will work closely with cross-
functional teams, including product managers, data analysts, designers, and
other developers, to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software
solutions. With the help of other engineers, you will design and build new
full stack ecosystems to fuel acquisition and engagement of our consumers. You
will have impact on key architectural decisions and have the opportunity to
help establish strong development processes. You will also have the
opportunity to tackle significant engineering challenges, such as architecting
new iterations of critical components for our systems and optimizing our
systems for resilience as they scale.

### Experience and Skills

**Who You Are**

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
* 2+ years of full stack development experience. Strong expertise in building web applications end-to-end using modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Next, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Java, Python).
* Strong understanding of system design patterns, software architecture principles, data structures and algorithms.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and deploying applications in a cloud environment.
* Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation.
* Create and document effective API frameworks to encourage integration between new and old systems across the organization.
* Provide an efficient testing process for deployed software to ensure responsiveness and reliability.
* Self-starter with great communication and organizational skills who enjoys collaborating with other disciplines.
* Most importantly: participate in a culture of open access, fast failures, transparency, and continuous improvement.
