We are looking for a talented founding engineer to join us on our mission to
revolutionize online communities. As a founding engineer, you will be working
closely with our co-founders to build and scale the Trendies platform. You
will be responsible for taking ownership of a variety of complex problems and
taking solutions from 0 to 1, as well as helping to establish the cultural
foundations of the company.
As an early member of the team, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of
experiences and opportunities to learn. Over time, your role will grow and
evolve with the company, including managing and mentoring new hires, and
taking on an engineering leadership role.
This role is hybrid in-person based in New York City.

### Qualifications
* You have experience with and thrive in high paced environments building from 0 to 1
* You love being scrappy and growing in multiple areas of expertise as you tackle a variety of problems
* You embody first principles thinking, thinking through cost benefit and prioritization decisions from the ground up
* You love owning problems end-to-end, and learn new skills as needed to get the job done
* 2+ years of software engineering experience
* Experience building with our stack (Typescript, React, Node.js, Postgres) a plus
* Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, a plus
* EVM / Solidity, or other smart contract experience a plus
* Experience in UX/UI design a plus
* Experience building consumer/social application a plus
### Responsibilities
* As a founding engineer, you will work closely with the founders to design, build, improve and scale the Trendies core app
* You will be a key part of product brainstorming and discussions, and involved in all parts of the product development lifecycle
* You will be an important part of the culture at Trendies, and deeply involved in the hiring process for future engineering hires
### Compensation
* Expected total cash compensation is $150K - $230K, with generous equity and benefits
* Equity range 0.4% - 1%
