Responsibilities:
As a Lead Frontend Engineer at Travelstop, you will have the opportunity to
work on an exciting range of technologies and platforms that power
Travelstop's portfolio of sites and services. You will be expected to design
and build Travelstop's next generation travel platform and lead the effort to
deliver scalable, frontend solutions using a variety of technology stacks.
Typically a lead engineer would be expected to perform the following functions
and responsibilities:
1) Lead the design and implementation of frontend features and functionality
for Travelstop’s travel site and services
2) Work with the Product, Business, and Sales teams to gather and understand
requirements and deliver scalable solutions
3) Write high quality, maintainable code
4) Participate and lead design discussions, reviews and propose/implement
solutions to technical problems and challenges
5) Mentor team members and perform code-reviews, provide feedback, and overall
guidance
Requirements:
1) B.S and/or M.S in Computer Science or equivalent
2) 8+ years of experience building web applications
3) Strong experience building responsive single page web applications (SPA)
using modern frontend frameworks such as VueJS, Nuxt
4) Strong UX experience, including building UI components from scratch, and
using 3rd party libraries and frameworks such as Tailwind CSS, JSS, Styled
Components
5) Experience with web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and
mobile devices
6) Good Communication skills
7) Ability to work well in a team with a positive attitude
8) Passion and motivation to deliver in a fast paced, startup-like
environment, with the desire to learn and be part of a highly experienced team
9) Strong work ethic with the ability to deliver in a remote working
environment
