**About the Role**
As a Software Engineer joining our team, you will be engaged in implementing
and supporting multiple content and retrieval services.

* **Engage **in all aspects of operational readiness for cloud-based, production, and pre-production level applications.
* **Provide** ongoing support of applications hosted within the cloud and on-premise.
* Partner with engineering teams to automate and evolve stability, performance, and supportability.
* **Take **ownership of monitor design, incident identification, communication, mitigation, root cause analysis, and automation.
* **Implement** non-functional requirements to ensure system availability, scalability, performance, monitoring, alerting and efficient incident troubleshooting.


**About You**

You’re a fit for the role of Software Engineer if your background includes:

* 4 years Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
* 1 – 3 years of Operations or Development related experience with cloud-based applications
* Experience with AWS, Python or Java
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Availability for gap coverage (on-call rotation)


Preferred

* Experience with Postgres and web technologies
* Knowledge of HVR, CIAC and Linux
* Experience with scripting languages
* Experience working with Git
