For a large financial services client, we are seeking a Cloud Migration/Data
Engineer Consultant to contribute to developing Cloud data infrastructure and
pipelines to capture, integrate, organize, and centralize data while testing
and ensuring the data is readily accessible and in a usable state, including
quality assurance. In addition, you will help develop/implement new Analytic
tools on the Cloud, or to migrate existent processes on prem to the Cloud.
**Responsibilities:**
* Build the cloud computing processes working with large data sets and advanced analytics.
* Create processes to take upstream data from data lakes and data marts and apply logic to them using SQL and Python and stored procedures.
* Use primarily AWS native tools.
* Collaborate with product and/or business owners, data engineers, and platform teams to understand business needs and current capabilities, data availability, and alternative uses.
* Implement new statistical modeling capabilities.
* Apply predictive analytic capabilities to enhance the delivery of business applications, and support the integration of data and statistical models or algorithms. Apply industry practices in research and testing to product development, deployment, and maintenance.
**Required Experience:**
* Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in engineering, computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics, or data analytics.
* 3+ years of experience in Python and Python full-stack development.
* Experience in processing large-scale data, migrations, and database concepts.
* Expertise in Cloud Migration experience in AWS.
* Experience with databases especially Redshift/Aurora.
* Business analysis skills (Risk management/Modeling/Reporting).
* Excellent communication skills to ask questions, clarify requirements, and engage with the team and stakeholders.
* Strong logic, reasoning, and critical thinking skills to solve problems as they arise.
* Must be an independent problem solver who can evaluate a situation and build solution options.
* This is a remote position and requires the ability to work in a home office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate home environment noise.
