Jay Group, a 3PL providing ecommerce order fulfillment to high-growth start-
ups and Fortune 500 Companies, has a great opportunity for a Software
Engineer. In this position you will work closely with the engineering team to
develop new features that deliver value for our internal and external
customers. As a Software Engineer, you will apply a team approach to problem
solving and help the team to continuously improve software engineering and
agile practices to deliver the best quality software possible.
##### **Job Responsibilities:**
* Develop new features and product enhancements
* Author and maintain clean code in accordance with SOLID design principles and industry best practices to create performant and reliable applications.
* Work with manager to foster strong SCRUM process and agile practice within the team
* Participate in code reviews providing and receiving feedback on pull requests in a constructive manner that results in clean high-quality code.
* Provide production support for Jay Group applications and services.
* Create and maintain engineering documentation
* Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholder

##### **Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field
* 2+ years' experience as a Software Engineer
* Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming
* Experience with SCRUM process and agile practice
* Experience designing and building REST APIs
* Experience utilizing source control and CI/CD pipelines
* Experienced with SQL Server, MySQL or other relational databases
* Intermediate knowledge of Python, PHP or other object-oriented language
* Basic to intermediate knowledge of software architectural patterns
* Basic to intermediate knowledge of unit, integration and load testing
* Basic to intermediate of fronted development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
* Experience with cloud services is a plus
* Experience with Qlik Analytics is a plus
* Warehouse Management Software experience is a plus
