Join our forward-thinking team as a Sr. Data Scientist to be a pivotal member
of our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of ML
principles, data analytics, and the ability to apply this knowledge using
Python/Julia. This role encompasses the design, development, and
implementation of data-driven ML models, contributing significantly to our ML
infrastructure, and working alongside cross-functional teams to weave ML
insights into various applications.
### **Responsibilities**
* Design, develop, and deploy innovative ML models using Python/Julia, prioritizing efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
* Engage in the construction and upkeep of a comprehensive ML infrastructure that facilitates the entire spectrum of the model lifecycle, from initial data preprocessing to final deployment.
* Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other data scientists to gather requirements and ensure the seamless integration of ML models into a wide range of applications.
* Lead initiatives to enhance the performance and efficiency of existing ML algorithms, as well as the development of groundbreaking new algorithms.
* Remain at the forefront of advancements in ML, data science, and Python/Julia programming, evaluating and integrating cutting-edge technologies and methodologies into our projects.
* Serve as a mentor to team members, setting a benchmark in coding standards, architectural integrity, and testing rigor.
### **Qualifications**
* Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, with a strong preference for Ph.D. holders.
* Demonstrated expertise in data science and machine learning, with a special emphasis on clustering, regression, and planning algorithms, benchmarking experience.
* Proficient in Python/Julia programming, with hands-on experience in Julia's ML libraries and tools (e.g., Flux.jl, MLJ.jl).
* A minimum of 6 years of experience in data science or a closely related field, with a proven track record of developing and implementing ML models.
* Familiarity with other programming languages (e.g., Python/C++) and ML frameworks, enhancing versatility in model development.
* In-depth knowledge of ML algorithms, data structures, and the principles of software architecture, enabling the creation of robust and scalable solutions.
* Experience with high-performance computing and optimization techniques, aimed at improving model efficiency and processing speeds.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a continuous drive for innovation in the ML landscape.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate efficiently within a team setting.
### **Desired Skills**
* Experience with cloud computing environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for model deployment and scaling.
* Understanding of DevOps practices related to ML, including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
* Knowledge of data engineering principles, including experience with databases, data pipelines, and ETL processes, to support robust data analysis and model training.
* Active engagement with the open-source community, particularly contributions to Julia or ML projects, reflecting a commitment to collaborative development and knowledge sharing.
