promise. We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Backend Engineer to primarily
focus on further building out and decentralizing our prediction market
protocol, [SX Network](https://sx.technology). The ideal hire will use
cutting-edge tools and technologies in the Web3 space to implement various
protocol and blockchain optimizations as we scale to handle larger betting
volumes on [SX Bet](https://sx.bet). We’re looking for someone to help take
the SX ecosystem to the next level as we prepare for the next surge of growth
in the upcoming months.

order to produce the best possible user experience.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Assist with the development of [SX Network](https://sx.technology)
infrastructure - primarily focusing on protocol decentralization with
blockchain features and optimizations in mind, developer tooling, and
monitoring services to ensure 100% uptime of the network.
Research cutting-edge features and architectures in blockchain development and
implement them on SX.
Tend to on-call performance degradation of [SX
Network](https://sx.technology).
Build clear and succinct technical documentation for interacting with [SX
Network](https://sx.technology) from a developer's perspective.
Stay at the edge of the space by constantly researching cutting-edge features
and technology trends in blockchain/dApp development.
**REQUIREMENTS**
At least 5+ years experience working as a backend software engineer.
Proficiency in Golang, C++, Java and/or Rust.
You have a depth of technical experience and have demonstrated excellence
through previous work.
You write secure, efficient, high quality code.
You know your way around leading cloud providers and are familiar with modern
app architectures.
You are a fast learner who can quickly master new technologies.
A passion for crypto and the impact it can have on the financial system.
**NICE TO HAVES**
You have experience with any of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript,
Node.js, AWS, Solidity, Postgres and/or MongoDB.
You've worked on high-quality products in the finance space and/or have
financial markets and crypto trading experience.
You have an understanding of the mechanics of blockchains and dApps, as well
as familiarity with Solidity development and the Web3 stack.
You have experience working with Cosmos SDK or a similar chain development kit
(CDK).
You have experience in blockchain, consensus protocols, distributed systems,
applied cryptography, compilers, p2p or similar systems.
**WHAT WE OFFER**
Full-remote work set up, with the only exception that you have to be online
and available to collaborate between our Toronto/ET working hours (9am-6pm)
and take part in our quarterly meetups in Toronto, Canada.
Reimbursed travel costs for our quarterly meetups in Toronto - where we get
together to build and take part in fun team-building activities.
In-depth and continuous education and mentorship in the DeFi and Ethereum
space. You'll become an expert in all things Ethereum.
