We are looking for a strong senior software engineer with a passion for sports
and data who want to help modernize the world of collegiate athletics.
### About Your Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will act as a technical leader, taking on
ownership over core parts of our software platform. Your daily
responsibilities will include the following:
* **Design and Build:** Design, build, and improve business-critical data models, data pipelines, services, and APIs.
* **Lead Projects:** Lead the development of large-scale projects and features end-to-end, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
* **Innovate Solutions:** Leverage technical knowledge and data analysis to propose and implement innovative solutions to complex business challenges.
* **Proactive Improvement:** Independently identify and address technical issues, proactively seeking out opportunities to improve our architecture, codebase, and development practices.
* **Self-Starter:** Demonstrate a self-starter attitude, able to work both independently and in collaboration with an agile startup team, while aligning with our strategic goals and objectives.
* **Collaborate with Universities:** Work directly with universities to understand their technical challenges and develop tailored solutions that address their needs.
### Requirements
* 4+ years of professional experience working in software engineering, data science, or an equivalent role
* Strong Python skills with a familiarity of various data analysis libraries (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, etc)
* Strong understanding of backend and database design
* Experience working with data pipelines and webscrapers
* Experience working with AWS or equivalent cloud providers
* Strong technical communication skills
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent
### Nice To Have
* Experience with Django / Django Rest Framework
* Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Next.js) and full-stack development
* A passion for sports
