Chat platforms today are inherently broken. Slack and Discord, the most
commonly used chat platforms, while useful for real-time communication, create
knowledge black holes, hindering the effective storage and retrieval of
information.
For the past 6 months, my team and I have been tirelessly building a new kind
of chat platform – Struct. Struct is reshaping the very concept of what a chat
platform can be, reinventing chat.
Struct is a unique combination of a chat platform for public communities (like
Discord) and teams (like Slack). It tackles the hard job of marrying real-time
chat with a thread-first approach to conversations while utilizing AI to
generate context.

Product Designer, you will play a vital role in shaping this innovative
platform.
**_Responsibilities:_**
* Lead the design process, creating innovative and user-friendly interfaces.
* Collaborate with the founder to reinvent chat.
* Conduct user research to understand pain points and ensure that the product aligns with customer needs.
* Create prototypes, wireframes, and mockups, continually iterating to perfect the design.
* Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
**_Requirements:_**
* At least 5 years of experience in product design, with a minimum of 2 years at one company.
* Experience building a consumer app preferred.
* Strong portfolio showcasing your previous work, highlighting both visual and user-centered design skills.
* Expertise in design software like Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar tools.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate well.
* Experience working in a startup environment is a plus.
