### Who You Are:
You are a talented engineer, but maybe you’ve only just dabbled in Rust. You
understand the fundamentals of distributed systems and web development - but
maybe you haven’t built an application from scratch or worked on giant
production projects.
Ultimately, you are an engineer and learning is what you do. You are excited
about a challenge, you like Rust as a language, and you are ready to build
something huge!
### What You'll Do:
* Write, design, and test API’s (both RESTful and graphQL)
* Design SQL and No-SQL database schemas for various features
* Utilize numerous technologies such as NATS, OpenSearch, and Postgres when building a feature to provide an optimized user experience
* Make trade-off decisions to balance the speed of development, the performance requirements of the feature, and the future scalability
* Be a key contributor in establishing consistent and reusable patterns as apart of feature development
### What You'll Need:
* 3+ years of relevant engineering experience at tech and product-driven companies
* Excellent with standard git, devops, and agile engineering practices
* Experience with backend, async, fault-tolerant, and server-side applications.
* Excellent with backend API design both REST and GraphQL
* Proficiency with relational databases like Postgres/MySQL including design, tuning, and safety
* Proficiency with No-SQL Databases such as Redis/Cassandra/Neo4j
* Ability to move fast in an environment where things are sometimes loosely defined and may have competing priorities or deadlines
