**Story.com is looking for a talented AI/ML engineer to join our growing
team.**

Monthly Active Users. We’re changing the way stories are told and consumed.
From narrative videos to children’s stories, from science fiction to fantasy,
our platform caters to all. We are well-capitalized and backed by some of the
best VCs.
**About the role**
Story.com currently uses an ensemble of AI models, ranging from text-to-text,
text-to-audio, text-to-image, text-to-video and more. Come join our team (as
Employee 5!) to take our AI and ML operations to the next level. This includes
a research component, staying up to date on the latest ML papers; an open
source component, developing familiarity with the latest open-source AI
projects; and a development component, turning research ideas into code that
will help our end users. Most importantly, you can independently solve complex
engineering problems and can drive tangible results in a short time frame.
This is a role for someone that loves to quickly make a huge impact but that
can also handle all the responsibility and pace of a small AI startup.

**You have:**
Capability of demonstrating something exceptional you’ve done, either in
academic research, or as part of a projecto or business
Experience in a graduate CS program studying AI/ML, preferably with a focus on
deep learning
Constantly learning and abreast of the latest developments in AI
Proven yourself either by co-authoring a relevant paper or bringing to market
a relevant product
A B.S or M.S. in Computer Science or similar.
Strong experience with test driven development environments
World-class written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to operate independently with stakeholders and manage
relationships, deliverables, and timelines with minimal supervision.
**What you 'll do:**
Build our AI stack: from foundational models to fine tuning existing models;
from recommendation systems to chatbots; from vector databases to LLMs - you
design a top-tier AI infrastructure
Work closely with the backend engineering, frontend and executive teams
Integrate with backend APIs for a seamless user experience.
Keep our team and the broader community up to date on the latest AI/ML
techniques.
**Salary** : $120,000- $150,000 per year plus equity
