planning and fundraising space, is seeking a dynamic CEO to spearhead its next
growth phase.

Role:
This is a "1 to 10" kind of opportunity. The company has already gone 0 to 1 -
developing a robust product with a very large set of customers/users, and
several opportunities for new revenue streams. The team has been keeping this
product on auto-pilot for several months, looking for what to do with it next.
We love the product, and believe it has very strong potential, especially with
better positioning towards one or two key verticals. You would be coming in
and running the show initially with a small team (with heavy support from us).
This company is remote. A presence in Canada or the US would be necessary, as
a lot of business in this space gets done at conferences and in-person.
Events.
Key Responsibilities:
* Vision and Strategy: Assess the current market, product, and customer set and refine the focus to better speak to a specific ideal customer.
* Leadership: As the initial primary driving force, take charge of multiple roles, from product development to sales and marketing, until the company scales and expands its team.
* Business Development: Jump in and make some sales. While the product supports a product-led motion, you'll want to dive in and do a ton of cold outreach and grunt work to build a healthy relationships.
* Financial Management: #1. Don't run out of money. #2 You aren't building a VC-scale, burn-until-you-can-earn business. You're building a real, sustainable, calm company. You'll keep a keen eye on growth and use cash flow to help grow.
* Stakeholder Engagement: We'll work right alongside you to start - we have a depth of knowledge and technical expertise to help ensure the product is stable while you kick-off growth. From there, you'll keep us updated, but run the show!
* Product Management: Take ownership of the product, working to refine existing features and conceptualize new solutions that meet the ever-evolving needs of the market.
* Culture Pioneer: We've seen the difference culture makes. You will get to set that from a very early stage and shape it as the company grows.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a combination of the following skills and
experiences:
* SEO and Paid Media (required): Proficiency in digital marketing strategies to drive traffic and conversions.
* Funeral Industry Experience: Knowledge of the funeral planning and services sector, or adjacent spaces
* Healthcare Partnerships: Experience working with hospitals, hospices, and senior care facilities.
* Marketplace Experience: Familiarity with managing or developing a marketplace platform.
* B2B Partnership Skills: Proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships.
Key Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within a scrappy startup environment.
* Deep understanding of the funeral planning and fundraising sector, or similar.
* Demonstrated capability to grow a tech venture from its nascent stages, with a flair for resourcefulness and multitasking.
* Exceptional communication skills and an ability to resonate with a varied audience, from customers to investors.
* A results-oriented approach with a fervent passion for growth and innovation.
* Robust analytical prowess, capable of making data-driven decisions and anticipating market demands.
